DESIGN NOTE
The plan is one long room and three quiet ones. A sixty-foot gallery runs straight through the house
— covered patio to east glass — and the front door lands on it: the foyer is a slot of the same axis.
South of the gallery live the loud rooms: a hearth-centered great room, an island kitchen for two cooks,
